Beehive Seminar - Human Rights Arm-Wrestling with Corporations
Paul will discuss his human rights work, in the UN and New Zealand, to hold non-state actors accountable. He will give particular attention to his UN report on GlaxoSmithKline, the Human Rights Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Companies in relation to Access to Medicines which he presented to the UN General Assembly, and his attempt, as New Zealand’s Chief Human Rights Commissioner, to hold accountable corporate social media platforms for online safety and harm.
This Beehive Seminar is presented in collaboration with the Institute for International Law and the Humanities (IILAH) and the MLS Human Rights Program.
